HOPE OF AMERICA

Our granddaughter Kayla invited me to go to a production that I'm not sure how many, but a lot of schools in Utah participate. They are all 5th graders and they practice for this event most of the year. It is an AWESOME production, the kids were amazing and it made me proud to be an American!! Thank you, Kayla for inviting me! :-) Kayla was one of the blue students. The picture below the students all have flashlights and they perform a beautiful song and use their flashlights during the song.
After the production Kayla, Stephanie and I went to get frozen yogurt at our favorite yogurt place in American Fork.

Karianne's Surgery

Greg and Karianne the day of the surgery. You can probably tell but the pink thing on her arm is the IV. Dr. Heidi said that her tonsils were huge and we actually saw them, but I'm not going to post the pictures of them. Greg wanted to take them home, but they wouldn't let him. Karianne was so BRAVE! When it was time for her to go into surgery she just took the Dr.'s hand and walked down the hall! Made me cry picturing it! Karianne loves her daddy, so I'm glad Greg could be there the day of surgery. The picture with the doll in it (on the bed) is a doll the hospital gives them before surgery. Isn't that nice that they do that.

The picture to the left was taken right before Karianne got to go home. The Care Bear (Cheer Bear) and the Bunny are "Get Well" presents she received. Just two days later Kyle (Karianne's older brother) was hospitalized with strep throat and an absess on one of his tonsils. It was a crazy week!

Karianne's Surgery

The picture to the left is Karianne leaving the hospital after her surgery--she had her tonsils out and they were HUGE!! The picture below is also when she was leaving; she didn't need to wear the mask, she just put it on for the picture.

The picture to the left is also of Karianne leaving the hospital. If you look close at her shirt you can see it says "Claus"---Stephanie told her she could pick out what ever she wanted to wear that day and that's the top she chose! She is quite the character---the nurses got a big kick out of it! The picture below was taken the day after her surgery, Karainne came over to see me.

Women's Conference at BYU in Provo, Utah

We like to go to Women's Conference every year---all of the women in our family are invited. This year Linda, Faye, Stephanie and I went. We were spiritually uplifted! We had late nights and early mornings---it makes me yawn just to think about it, but we had a lot of fun!! We did our traditional dinner to Outback the night before Women's Conference started, and we had brownies (this year they were from Shirley's---YUMMY), we went to have hamburgers with our families on Friday night after Women's Conference and then we went to the movie! We were on the gooooooooo!
Thank you, Ron (my oldest brother) for taking us and picking us up on Thursday! :-) Linda (Ron's wife, my sister-in-law) is in the picture too, but it is kind of hard to see her--sorry! We're so glad that Linda could come with us this year!

EASTER at Scott & Christine's 2009

Easter night--- these are some more pictures I took after Carissa, Maia, Bryan and Anthony had gotten ready for bed. As you can see Stacie is reading stories. I'm not sure if Anthony is crying or laughing!

I'm not sure what Bryan is pointing at---maybe Grandpa. Scott is down the hall combing Carissa or Maia's hair after their bath. He is such a good daddy! :-)

Steve and Scott---just chillin!!! Sorry Christine you're not in any of the pictures--I'm not sure where you were at.

Easter in CA---2009

This is a picture of the Easter bunny cake I made for Easter Sunday. It is a tradition for me to make a cake for Easter. The one I usually make is made from a pan that I had left in Utah, so I bought this pan at Target. Steve said that he likes this one better, so I'll probably use this one from now on.
